Using Your Chip Card
- Insert the chip end of your card into the terminal with the chip facing up.
- Keep your card in the terminal and follow the prompts.
- Remove your card when prompted and take your receipt.
- For over the phone or online purchase, provide your card information the way you always have when you’re ready to make a purchase.
- Merchants without chip terminals may ask you to swipe the magnetic strip.
Report a Lost or Stolen Debit Card
If your card is lost or stolen, immediately call 800.417.8715, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will have the option to order a replacement debit card during your call.

Debit Card Travel Notifications
Traveling outside the state or the country? Avoid having your debit card denied at the register – notify First Bank of the Lake before you leave. Notifying us of your travel plans helps prevent your debit card transactions from being blocked during your travels.
